A fossil dinosaur horn one of the last living proof that a large meteorite attack killed the entire species of dinosaurs.
Quoted by the Daily Mail on Friday (15/07/2011), the fossil is 45 cm long horn horned dinosaurs that are owned horned dinosaur Triceratops. The fossil was discovered in a geological site known as the Hell Creek Formation in an uninhabited land in southeastern Montana, United States (U.S.), where the previously found fossils of dinosaurs have been many others.
Something that makes it interesting is the discovery of this fossil is only 13 cm below the layers of rock. This is the most superficial of fossil discoveries in the history of fossil fuels consumed by the search for the excavation of up to tens of meters, much less is a dinosaur fossil.
This indicates that the last dinosaurs disappeared from Earth's civilization. While scientists believe that dinosaurs and then disappear quickly after a global catastrophe with a rock attack asteroid to Earth in those days.
"This discovery provides evidence that dinosaurs did not die slowly before the meteorite hit," said Dr. Tyler Lyson, of Yale University in New Haven.
"The fact that this issue was so close to the border showed that at least some dinosaurs were doing the rescue work was finally exposed to the impact of an asteroid," Lyson said.
